She was born March 25, 1930, in Minnie, KY, the daughter of the late William Turner and Lorraine Johnson Turner. She was a retired teacher; formerly employed by the Floyd County School system, a member of the Drift Women’s Club, the ARH Auxiliary, and the McDowell-Minnie Senior citizens.Survivors include two sons, Robert Duane Youmans and Darrell Youmans,both of Minnie, KY; one daughter, Delilah Lorraine “Midge” Youmans Blackburn of Minnie, KY; one brother, W.C. “Buster” Turner of Minnie, KY; two sisters,Euka Hicks of Minnie, KY, and Mary Ellen Maggard of Drift, KY; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Lenville “Bub” Turner,and one sister, Gertrude T. Stumbo. Funeral services for Kathryn Turner Youmans will be conducted Thursday, June 27, 2002 at 11 a.m. at the Old Beaver Regular Baptist Church, Minnie, KY with the Old Regular Baptist ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Allen Cemetery, Minnie, KY under the professional care of the Hall Funeral Home, Martin, KY.
