T. Woolum Makes Tax Commissioner Race In making my appeal to the voters of Knox County, I feel it only fair to inform each and everyone of my qualifications, to enable you to make an intelligent selection of a candidate to make an efficient and capable Tax Commissioner for the next four years. This all-important office should be filled by a qualified man, interested in the welfare and progress of our fine county. Consider my qualifications, having been educated as a school teacher, taught 13 years, as a miner and farmer, having spent most of my life in these honorable professions. Consider the fact that I was born and raised in the county, the son of Dave Woolum of Brush Creek. I walked through the mud of Knox County to receive an education at Artemus High School, a distance of 13 miles a day. My higher education was received at Union College, where I worked to pay my tuition. My experience in various fields, my knowledge of Knox County property should make me qualified to honorably fill the office which I seek. One of my opponents has held the office of Magistrate and the other has held the Tax Commissioner's office for 12 years. I have never before sought public office. Give a new man a chance to serve you well. I have no intentions of withdrawing from this race. I will run to win. Third name on Ballot. CHARLES T.
