LOLA BYRLEY PREWITT, age 82, of Corbin, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, 
January 18, 2006 at the Christian Health Center.
She was born in Knox County, Kentucky on April 10, 1923 to the late William A. 
and Otie Sams Byrley.
Lola graduated from Corbin High School in 1941 and had been a Secretary for 
Cumberland River Comprehensive Care Center.
She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church, United 
Methodist Women and Goodwill Fellowship.  She also belonged to the Corbin 
Women's Club.
Lola was the wife of the late Ernest G. Prewitt.
Survivors are two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Key of Louisville, Kentucky and 
Vivian Byrley of Falls Church, Virginia; three nephews, Kenneth R. Byrley and 
William J. Byrley of Louisville and Charles Mark Byrley of Chapel Hill, North 
Carolina; and a special friend and caregiver, Elizabeth Fore, of Corbin.
Visitation was 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, January 20, 2006 at the O'Neil 
Funeral Home and funeral services were held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 
21, 2006 at the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Tim Thompson and 
the Reverend K. Richard Holladay officiating.
Burial followed in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin, Knox County, Kentucky.
