Lucy Frances Johnson was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Johnson both born 
in Kentucky on August 14, 1872 and died August 22, 1934.

Lucy's parent's,  Elizabeth Smyth, and John Johnson were the same age and both 
were born about 1835 in North Carolina, and are buried at the Keck Cemetery, 
in Knox County, Kentucky, also 

Elizabeth Smyth and John Johnson married on August 19, 1857 in Burke County, 
North Carolina.  They produced the following children:

Elmira Johnson b: ABT 1858
Mary J. Johnson b: ABT 1860 in North Carolina
Henry Johnson b: ABT 1863 in North Carolina
John J. Johnson b: ABT 1864 in North Carolina
Stephen Johnson b: ABT 1867 in Tennessee
Julia A. Johnson b: ABT 1870 in Kentucky
Lucy Frances Johnson b: 14 FEB 1872 in Kentucky
Eliza Johnson b: ABT AUG 1875 in Kentucky
Robert Johnson b: ABT OCT 1877 in Kentucky
Rebecca Johnson b: ABT JAN 1881 in Kentucky
Rilda Johnson b: ABT MAY 1883 in Kentucky
  
Lucy Frances Johnson married John Dalton Martin circa 1889. John Dalton Martin 
was also born in 1872, the son of George Valentine Martin II and Rachel Ann 
Keck.  

John Dalton Martin and Lucy Frances Johnson had several children:

David Reed MARTIN b: 15 DEC 1893 in Gray, Knox County, Kentucky
James Parker MARTIN b: JAN 1895 in Knox County, Kentucky

Creed Dalton MARTIN b: 26 MAY 1901 in Knox County, Kentucky
Chester Arthur MARTIN b: 24 SEP 1903 in Knox County, Kentucky
Samuel "Sam" A. MARTIN b: 16 JUN 1906 in Knox County, Kentucky



Additional Comments:
Lucy is buried at the Martin Family Cemetery, accessible via the Arapaho Trail 
extension of Harris Road, southeast of the intersection of Harris Road & 
Parker Branch Road, in Gray, Knox County, Kentucky. The path leading to the 
cemetery is accessed via a set of metal gates at Latitude = 36.9725, Longitude 
= -83.9795, and Lucy France Johnson is buried as Lucy F. Martin under a common 
headstone with her husband, John D. Martin (John Dalton Martin) at GPS 
(lat/lon): 36.9731, -83.9771.

Lucy's parents John and Elizabeth Johnson are buried in the Keck Cemetery, 
which is also on the Arapaho Trail extension of Harris Road, just before the 
Arapaho Trail sectioHarris Road meets Keck Road in Gray, Knox County, 
Kentucky. Latitude = 36.9655, Longitude = -83.9780 .
