Leonard Hankins' Father Dies At Home In Dawson Dawson Springs, May 27. -- Thomas Hankins, 72, died here at 4 o'clock this morning of intestimal trouble following several days illness. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday and burial will be in a cemetery near Fairview Tuesday. She had been in ill health for some time. Funeral services will be conducted at the Nebo, Christian church at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Burial will be in Union cemetery. Mrs Hobgood, widow of W B Hobgood, who died sixteen years ago, is survived by these children: H C Hobgood, missionary in Africa; Norman and Fred Hobgood, Arkadelphia, Ark.; Frank Hobgood, Evansville, and Guy Hobgood, Arizona, superintendent of an Indian reservation, Mrs Hart and Mrs Clara Merriman, Providence. Kirkwood, 85, of Hazel Park, Michigan, died in his home at 5:45 p.m. Saturday. Mr. Kirkwood was born in Silent Run, Ky. on September 13,1891, the son of the late James Kirkwood and Laura Maddox Kirkwood. His stepmother, Victoria Kirkwood of Madisonville, and his wife Alice Berry, both preceded him in death. His wife who died on June 7, 1969. He is survived by five sons, Raymond Kirkwood, Madison heights, Mich. Morris Kirkwood, Clawson, Nich., Charles Kirkwood of Clawson, Leon Kirkwood of Lakeview, Oregon and Edward Kirkwood of Hazel Park, Mich.; four daughters Mrs. Georgia Yates of Crystal Falls, Mich. Mrs. Ruby Reece and Mrs. Eva Clanton both of Warren, Mich. and Mrs. Mary Riggs of Hazel Park, Mich. ; five step daughters, Mrs. Ola Peach, Mrs. Pauline Dame and Mrs. Mrs. Ozzie Ectart all of Evansville, Ind.
