Aged Woman Dies Mrs. Julia Ann Johnson, wife of Michael Johnson, died at her home near Bunker Hill Friday afternoon, December 12, 1930, of infirmities of age. Deceased was eighty-eight years of age and is survived by her aged husband, and four children: Mrs. John Leggett, of Bourbon County, Mrs. William Haney, Leroy and Ernest Johnson, of this county. Mrs. Johnson was a kind, self-sacrificing wife and mother and ministered to her family's needs until a few days before her death. Her whole life was one of service to her family, her neighbors and friends, and she will be sadly missed in the community in which she lived. She was never happier than when working among them. Funeral services were conducted at her late home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by the Rev. F. M. Mrs. Adeline Childers Passes at Versailles Versailles [Woodford County] Ky., Jan. 7--Mrs. Adeline Hall Childers, 81, widow of Henry McLeod Childers, of Versailles, died unexpectedly at 8 o'clock this morning at the residence of Mrs. Gertrude Mehring, 135 Green street, Versailles, with whom she had made her home for a number of years. A native of Shelbyville, Mrs. Childers was a member of the Versailles Methodist church. Although in ill health for many years, she was on the streets of Versailles Saturday afternoon and that night appeared as cheerful as usual. Sunday morning, when she did not appear at the breakfast table, Mrs. Mehring went to her room and found her unconscious. She did not regain consciousness. She had been active in church and civic affairs here. Mrs. Childers is survived by one nephew, John Hall, of Louisville, and a number of cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday at the grave in the Versailles cemetery. They will be conducted by the Rev. Earl Curry, pastor of the Versailles Methodist church, and Dr. Albert G. Stone of Lexington, presiding elder and former pastor of the local church. Mrs. Laura Baldwin dies on Birthday Mrs. Laura McEUEN BALDWIN died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, her eighty-eighth birthday, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Labe COLE, in the Corinth section near Providence, as result of a cerebral hemmorrhage. =20 She had celebrated her birthday earlier that day with several members of her family present. Mrs. Baldwin was born February 11, 1866 on a farm east of Hanson, and was the last survivor of the family of Edward and Elizabeth McEuen, pioneer family of Hopkins county. She was a member of Providence Methodist Church, near Hanson. She had 100 descendants, including 11 children, 42 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. The children are Mrs. Delia DORTCH, Mrs. Bertha HOWARD, and Mrs. Nora HAMBRICK, of Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Hallie QUALLS of New Orleans, La.; Mrs. C.M.
