Co. An obit I transcribed for an old Breck. Co. paper. Linda Breckinridge News, Cloverport, KY January 24, 1952 JOHN MATTHEWS DIES IN LOUISVILLE Funeral services were held at the Cloverport Baptist Church Wendesday afternoon, January 2, for John Matthews who died January 21, in Louisville. Rev. G.C. Sandusky conducted the services. Interment was in the Cloverport Cemetery. Charles Basham, Charles Matthews, Phil Henderson, Billy Matthews, Sargent Keenan, Lamar Ryan, and Harold Newman served as pallbearers. Dhonau Funeral Home was in charge. Mr. Matthews, who was 83 years old, was born in Breckinridge County. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Laura Matthews of Louisville; nine children, Perry Matthews of Nashville,; Rev. S.A. Matthews of Drakesboro, KY., Homer Matthews of Beaver Dam; Mrs. J.R.
