JEANNE REYNOLDS O'NEIL Jeanne Reynolds O'Neil, 68, died Thursday, April 22 at her home in Alexandria, VA after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late Delmar and Ersley Reynolds, former Sturgis residents and the granddaughter of the late John and Anna Reynolds of Sturgis. Survivors include her husband,William E. O"Neil; two sons, William R. O'Neil of Springfield, VA, and Stepehn O'Neil of Basemann, Montana;two sisters, Joanne Ollett of Richmond,VA and Jimmie Leesan of Dallas, TX; and five grandchildren. A memorial service was held at the Fairlington United Methodist Church in Alexandria, VA. TOM CAMPBELL Tom Campbell, 73, Morganfield, died Saturday at Union County Methodist Hospital. Mr. Campbell was a member of the American Legion Post 200 in Louisville and also served in World War II under General Dwight Eisenhower. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Campbell; two sisters, Iris Copes of Delhi, LA, Clara Pinson of Hot Springs, AR and neices survive. Services were at 1 Monday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield with Rev. Jerry Ricketts officiating. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice or Trinity Assembly of God. DANIEL BANKS SR. Daniel Banks Sr, 76, died at 11:05 am Sunday at Community Methodist Hospital. He retired after 35 years at Colonial and Bunny Bread bakeries. He was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Moose Lodge 732 and American Legion Post 40. Surviving are two daughters, Marie Foster and Carolyn Staser, both of Henderson; a son, Daniel Jr of Nevada; a sister, Jewell Jones of Morganfield; three brothers, James and William, both of Morganfield, and John of Warrick, RI; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Services were at 2pm Tuesday at Tapp Funeral Home with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Will Book 2, p. 202-203 I Samuel McAfee of the County of Mercer and State of Kentucky being weak in body yet sound in mind at this time possesing sufficient Reason in my own oppinion, I do in the presence of God make and constitute this may last Will and Testament, after paying all my lawfull debts and funaral expenses, I do give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Hanna McAfee the house and barn, whereon I now live with all the farming utentials, also my negro woman Betty and the boy Littleton, which shall be equally divided amongst my legal Heirs at her death, also the household and kitchen furniture to be left to her my beloved wife and at her disposal at any time also the present crop of every kind to be left to her and for the support of the present family. It is my wish and desire that all my landed estate shall be equally divided between my daughter Anna McAfee, William McAfee, Hanna McAFee, Saml McAfee and Polly McAfee, men to be appointed by the courth of this County to make the divisions equally in quantity and quality. My sons John and Robt McAfee and my daughter Jenny McGoffin I have heretofore given all the Land that I ever intended to them. To my daughter Hanna McAfee I give my negro girl named Silvie to her and her heirs forever. I also give to my duaghter Anna my young Balck mare, the ballance of my personal and moveble estate of every kind it is my wish and desire that it shall be equally divided between all my legal Heirs. I do constitute and appoint my beloved wife Hanna McAfee my Executrix, my sons John and Robt McAfee my Executors to Execute this my last Will and Testament. Robert McAfee b. abt 1774, Botetourt Co., VA; m. Priscilla Armstrong; d. Jan. 30, 1849 John M. McAfee b. Oct. 20, 1775, Botetourt Co., VA; m. 1st) Margaret McKamey, 2nd) Martha (Dicey) Caldwell. d. April 28, 1833. Jane (Jenny) McAfee, b. bef. 1780, Mercer Co., KY; m. Beriah Magoffin (Jane and Beriah were parents of Beriah Magoffin Jr., governor of KY at the beginning of the Civil War). July 19, 1819 (Mercer Co., KY) Samuel McAfee Sr. was a justice of the Mercer Co. courts at Harrodsburg for many years before his death. He died June 8, 1801 in Mercer Co., Kentucky.
