ky-footsteps Wednesday, 7 January 1998 Volume 01 : Number 334 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Phyllis Hill" Date: Wed, 07 Jan 1998 00:12:59 -0600 Subject: KY-F: DEED: Noble, 1810 - Franklin Co FRANKLIN COUNTY, KENTUCKY DEEDS, Book C, p. 336 This Indenture made this 15th day of September the year of our Lord 1810 between John Smith of the County of Franklin and state of Kentucky of the one part and William Noble of the County and State aforesaid of the other Part Winesseth that the Said John Smith for and in consideration of the Sum of two hundred & twenty four dollars to him in hand paid by the Said William Noble the receipt whereof he (p. 337) doth hereby acknowledged & thereof doth release acquit & discharge the Said William Noble his heirs Executors and administrators--the said John Smith hath granted Bargained and Sold unto him the Said William Noble a certain tract or parcel of land containing 56 acres Situate in the County of Franklin on the waters of Hammons Creek and bounded as follows/to wit, Beginning at a Walnut and two Elms corner to John Smith on Triggs line thence North with Smiths & Arbuckles line Seventy Eight poles to two white Oaks thence west 115 poles to a Sugar & Hickory on Triggs line and with the Same South Seventy eight poles to his corner a Buckeye & Mulberry thence East with another of his lines one hundred & fifteen poles to the Beginning and all the Estate right title and interest of him the Said John Smith of in and to the premises to have and to hold the Said fifty Six acres of land unto him the said William Noble for himself his heirs Executors and administrators doth hereby warrant and defend the Said fifty Six acres of land unto him the Said William Noble his heirs Executors administrators and assigns against the claim of all and every person or persons whatsoever. Montgomery, 72, who died Friday evening at her home in the Hughes apartments, will be held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at St. Francis de Sales Catholic church. The Rev. Father Fallon will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Mrs. Montgomery, who has lived in Paducah for 16 years, is survived by her husband, William R. Montgomery; two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Skaggs, Wonilla, Miss., and Mrs. L. Welch, of here; two sons, Virgil Montgomery, of Louisville and Albert R. Montgomery, Paducah, several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Montgomery was born in Newport, Ky. Active pallbearers will be John Theobald; Gene Martin; Howard Dolph; Charles Roof, George Mullen and Henry Budde. Honorary pallbeareres will be Dr. J. W. Lawrence, J. J. Hugg; J. L.
