TINCHER, 56, DIES IN OHIO John Othel (Tinch) Tincher, 56, former resident of Paducah, died at 12:05 p.m. Monday at a veterans hospital at Mansolin, Ohio. Mr. Tincher, a former employee of a supply firm here, moved to Canton, O., in 1945. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Farris Tincher; a son, John Tincher, Jr.; a step-son, Harold Scott; two brothers, A. O. Tincher, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Forest Tincher, Paducah; two sisters, Mrs. Richard Schmidt and Miss Lena Rivers Tincher, both of Paducah, and two grandchildren, John Tincher, III, and Robert Scott, both of Canton. The body will be brought to Lindsey funeral home at 3:35 a.m. Thursday. ROBINSON RITES THURSDAY Grand Rivers, Ky., May 21 (Special)---Mrs. Alice Robinson, 86, died at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at her home here. She was the widow of Dr. J. W. Robinson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Grand Rivers Methodist Church, of which Mrs. Robinson was a charter member. Services will be conducted by the Rev. McDowell and the Rev. A. H. Alexander with burial in Dixon Cemetery. Mrs. Robinson is survived by a granddaughter, Mrs. Mary Albright, Milwaukee; a grandson, Samuel Molloy, Louisville, and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Carl Chandler, Othello Boone, Andrew Stafford, Douglas Parrish, Walter Dycus and J. L. Deweese. ALICE DYCUS DIES IN CHICAGO Grand Rivers, Ky., Nov. 27-- Mrs. Alice Dycus, former resident of Grand Rivers, died Friday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Folk in Chicago. Mrs. Dycus went to Chicago recently to spend the winter. She is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Johnnie McAdow, Chicago; three sons, Carl and Walter Dycus, Detroit, and Ray Dycus, California; a sister, Mrs. Eliza Jones, Kuttawa, and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m Sunday at Grand Rivers Methodist church with the Rev. Noles officiating. Burial will be in Dixon cemetery. DORA SPENCER DIES AT HER HOME Kevil, Ky., June 16--Mrs. Dora Ann Spencer, 67, of Kevil Rt. 2, died Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. at her residence. She was a member of Spring Bayou Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Sam Spencer; a sister, Mrs. Fields Stafford of Paducah Rt. 2; two sons, Thomas A. Spencer of Kevil Rt. 2 and Paul D. Lewis, 79-year-old native of Grand Rivers, who served 50 years as an engineer for the Illinois Central Railroad, died Thursday at his home in Memphis. The retired railroader had been in ill health for five years. Mr. Lewis was a deacon in LaBelle Baptist Church of Memphis and a member of the Paducah Masonic Lodge 127. Mr. Lewis moved to Memphis in 1926. Survivors include a son, Carl Lewis of Owensboro; three daughters, Mrs. Nell Evans of Memphis; Mrs. Ruth Nichols of Hernando, Miss., and Mrs. Jane Williams of Memphis; two brothers, Maurice Lewis of Paducah and Henry Lewis of Memphis; a sister, Mrs. Jim Freeman of Paducah; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at National Funeral Home in Memphis. Wheeler" Date: Thu, 05 Mar 1998 13:41:19 -0500 Subject: KY-F: OBIT: Hendren, 1934, Gallatin Co OBITUARY LEMUEL HENDREN The Death Angel visited our community and took from us one of our beloved citizens, Lemuel Hendren, son of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Hendren. He was born December 8, 1857, died March 12, 1934 being 76 years 3 months and 4 days of age at the time of his death. He was married to Alice Rider in 1884. To this union six children were born, four girls and two boys, Ella, Anna, Corene, one daughter dying in infancy, Phil and Orville. He was a victim of a paralytic stroke Saturday morning. The day before he was called home, he spent the day in prayer and song. He united with the Paint Lick Baptist Church in 1882 and remained a faithful member until the time of his death. Besides leaving his lovely wife and children to morn his passing he leaves one sister, Mrs. Lee West of Jackson Landing, three brothers, Charlie, Phil, and William Hendren of Jackson Landing, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He had been in failing health for some time. Funeral services were conducted at the Paint Lick Baptist Church March 15, at 2 o’clock in charge of Rev.
