Obits on page 2. RUBY BISHOP Ruby Bishop, 91, of Uniontown died Saturday at 1:20pm at Salem-Springlake Nursing Home, Salem, KY. Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by her husband, John Bishop in 1968 and 6 sisters and 4 brothers. Survivors include nieces and nephews. Services were Sunday at 3pm. Burial was in Odd Fellow Cemetery in Morganfield. MR. ZEL WIMBERLY Zel Wimberly, 83, of Morganfield died Saturday March 21 at 10:25am. Mr. Wimberly was an Army Veteran having served in World War. He was born in Clarksville, TN June 30, 1914 to Ben Wimberly and Ella (Tyler) Wimberly. Survivors include Catherine and Natherine Wimberly who took care of him. Several other nieces and nephews also survive. Services are Friday March 27, at 1pm and visitation will be the 26th from 6-9 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. Burial will be at Ball Hill in Union County. JACKIE TINSLEY JR. Jackie Ray Tinsley Jr. 21, of Morganfield died Saturday morning at home. The Union County coroner is investigating. Surviving are hsi wife, Donna Sue; a son, Jackie Ray Tinsley III of Morganfield; his parents, Jackie Ray Sr. and Paula Tinsley of Morganfield; a sister, Kristy Dawn Tinsley of Morganfield; and grandparents Ruby Tinsley of Tolu and Howard T. Scott of Cadiz. Born in Laurel County, Ky., she was the daughter of Jim and Sarah (Hoskins) Moore. She married Wallis Gilbert July 9, 1914 and he died Feb. 25, 1964. She was a homemaker and of Baptist faith. Surviving are five sons: Stanley Gilbert of Bedford, Voy Gilbert and Kenneth Gilbert, both of Oolitic, Jim Gilbert of Knox and Beachel Gilbert of Martinsville; three daughters: Ruth Pace of Oolitic, Amanda Cole Stewart of London, Ky., and Glennie Sutton of Paoli; one sister, Nollie Lawson of London, Ky.; 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Burchel in 1947 and two children in infancy; her parents; three brothers: Hiram, Sam and Henry Moore; one sister, Bertha; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Day & Carter Mortuary, Bedford, with the Revs. Richard Tallman and Stan Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.
