The next move with Bro Walton will be a daily and all that is necessary is for him just to set his head The commencement exercises of the Mt Vernon Collegiate Institute begin Sunday morning with the baccalaureate sermon by Rev Dr. Roberts Pres of Center College. Every one should go and hear this eloquent divine. There will be no services at the Christian church that morning. On Wednesday evening there will be an entertainment at college chapel. Thursday evening there will be a musical and contest and Friday evening the commencement. Hon W.R. Ramsey will deliver the class address and C.C. Williams will present diplomas. Castleman notifying him of his appointment as a member of the Commitee of parade and Review at the Confederate reunion The latest name mentioned in connection with the Democratic nomination for Congress in the Louisville district is Mr William W. Thompson, Treasurer for the Louisville & Nasville Railroad. all of this tak comes from the frends of Mr Thompson and he is in no serse seeking the nimination. Mr Thompson has been connected with the L&N for over thirty years. He has always been a Democrat W.H. Collyer of Brodhead who has been a victim of consumption for years and whom it was thought through all the winter both by those who visited him and by his physicians could not last a very great while, but about April 1st he moved to a house which he had built on a high sand knob in the western point of the county and from the very first day he began to improve and now his physicians have great hopes of his entire recovery.
