Parents William and Adaline Miller. Obits states: Amos Miller, 74 years old, of near Bedford, died Monday at 6 o'clock in the morning after a few months illness caused by flu and lung trouble. Funeral service was conducted by the pastor of the Pentecostal Church at Bedford, Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. The remains were brought to Franklinton for burial. The deceased was born and raised in Henry County. He is survived by tree sons, Willie Miller, Dee Miller and Omar Miller. Mrs. ADELINE MILLER, BABBITT, wife of Jasper Babbitt, died at her home near Mt Gilead on Saturday March 23, 1912, from infirmities due to old age. She was 103 (Some question about her age) years old, according to well-authenticated statements. She was a good woman, and in her younger days was remarkably handsome. She was first married to a man named Miller, and there are several living children who were born of the union, among them being the well known citizen, Mr. Amos Miller, of Mt. Gilead, The funeral was preached Monday by Mr. C.O. Woodward, and the remains were laid to rest in the church yard at Drennon Chapel. WILLIAM M. (J) MILLER, cert no 31/11078 Died April 30, 1931 in Trimble Co. KY. Son of William M. and Adaline Miller. Born July 24, 1851 Henry Co. KY Obits states: Mr. William M. Miller, aged citizen, died suddenly. The citizens of Bedford and vicinity were sorely shocked last Thursday when they learned that Mr. William M. Miller, one of our oldest and most highly respected citizens was found dead about noon on the farm where he lived, less than two miles south of Bedford. Mr. Miller, who was 79 years of age made his home with his brother, Mr. Amos Miller, and nephew, Mr. B.D. Miller, who own the place across the highway from the John J. Young farm. He was preparing to raise a crop of tobacco, and left home early Thursday morning to weed a plant-bed. When he failed to return to the house at the noon hour, his brother went in search of him and found him near the plant bed. He had pulled the weeds and replaced the canvas. He started home, it is supposed, but made only about one hundred and fifty yards of the distance. When found he was lying with his head on a sack of straw, which he used in weeding the beds. There was no evidence of a struggle, and he is supposed to have taken ill and expired in a short time. It is thought he had been dead two or three hours. Funeral service were at the home Saturday morning at 10 o' clock by Rev. J.B. Hahn. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery. Mr. Miller was twice married, by has no children. The only surviving members of the family are two brothers, Mr. Amos Miller, which whom he made his home and Mr. J.E. Miller, of Louisville. He reared a nephew, Henry Miller, of Eudora, Ark, whose wife is seriously ill. Familiarly known as "Uncle Bill," was a good citizen and well liked. He often came to Bedford, where he visited the home of his nephew, Omer Miller. MARY A. (MOLLY) MILLER, cert 12/19735 Died August 10, 1912 in Henry Co. KY. Born April 9, 1871 in Henry Co. KY. Parents are William Huey, born Henry Co. and Laura Raisor, born Owen Co. KY. Obit states: Miss Mollie Huey Miller, beloved wife of Amos Miller died at her home near Mt. Gilead, Saturday night, August 10, at 11:40 o'clock, after an illness of two years r more of pulmonary consumption. She was in her forty-second year of her age. Before marriage she was a Miss Huey. When quite a young woman she was united in matrimony with Amos Miller, and proved ever to be a faithful and affectionate wife. The husband survives, but in a bad state of health, having been partially paralyzed for several months. She is also survived by four children's, three sons and one daughter, all single except one son. The daughter is in very poor health, so that the saturation is most distressing. Mrs. Miller was notably a kind and affectionate mother. She was a member of the Baptist Church and consistent in all her life. The remains were interred at Franklinton Monday morning, after appropriate services at the Church there by Rev. Mr. Ezell, the pastor. These facts were furnished by Mrs. Jo. Jones, a kind and sympathetic neighbor and friend. NANCY ELIZABETH SPARKS WADE, cert no 28/101 Died Oct 27, 1928 in Trimble Co. KY, the daughter of Thomas and Betty Sparks. Obit states: Mrs. Robert Wade, 25 years of age died of tuberculosis at the home of Mr. D. Miller, south of Bedford Saturday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. A funeral service was held at home Monday morning at 10 o'clock by Rev. S.R. Burrow, and burial in the IOOF Cemetery at Sulphur, Henry Co. KY. Mrs. Wade was the youngest daughter of Mr. Tom Sparks, who now lives in Indiana. Her mother has been dead several years. About tow years ago she was married to Mr. Wade who survives. She was a member of the Baptist Church. An infant son was buried last week. Hers is the third death to occurred in the Miller home in less that two week. JAMES LEE WADE: cert 28/26356 Died Oct 18, 1928 in Trimble Co. KY. He is the son of Robt. Wade and Nancy Sparks. Obit: The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wade died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. Miller last Thursday night at 8 o'clock. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery at Sulphur, Henry Co. KY Friday at 2 o'clock. Frank Hunter, Jr., four months of age, whose death occurred on Wednesday of last week. These infants died in the same home, where both lay a corpse at the same time.
