J. C. Hardy, Mr. Samuel Pollitt, Jr. to Miss Ella Clark. Will McEldowney is improving his residence on the Petersville road in a manner suggesting bridal wreathes and orange blossoms. It is said a Carter county lady is the chosen one. There will be another deflection from this county to Kansas this fall. A. J. Sexton and some of the Lewis' and Cooper's from Kinny are preparing to move to the windy wilds. Mr. Jesse Cardwell and Miss Minnie Anderson, of Shelbyville, Ky were married in the parlor of the Alexander Hotel at Louisville. The ceremony was performed by Rev. B. F. Hungerford. ----- CARRS Miss Mary McVaney, of Quick's Run, spent a few days last week visiting the Misses Shumates. Jas. Smalley says he now has twenty-six pupils enrolled with still a few more yet to come. Sunday School is now held at Taylor's Chapel and also at Fairmount church. ----- A little girl about three years of age, a daughter of Dick Carrington, on Salt Lick, died Sunday. The Earles family have left Fleming county since the acquittal of John Earles for killing John Stacy The wife of John cooper near Kamer's is lying very low. No hopes are entertained of her recovery. Mr. S. B. Pugh and family left yesterday for Winfield, Kansas, which place will be their future home. Robt. Roe and Mary Roe, living on Kinny, joined conclusions in the matrimonial mill at Aberdeen last Week. Arnett Graves and Miss Beckett from the Carmel neighborhood were married at Aberdeen last Saturday. ---- Feetown - Glenville J. W. Tulley has sold his property in Glenville, or Feetown, as it is sometimes called, to T. Jeff Tulley, for $4500.00. ---- Thomas Spencer a former citizen of this place (Vanceburg, and father of Tom Spencer, died in Maysville last Sunday. ---- Cabin Creek Mr. John E. Hall and Mrs. Florence A. Wilson were married at the residence of Wm. Rowland on Cabin Creek yesterday. ---- Nellie Dye, a colored woman, whose age is recorded at one hundred and five years, died in the infirmary of Mason County last week. Mrs. Fenwick, living near the Mason county line, was stricken with paralysis a few days ago and at last accounts was consider past recovery.
