Witnesseth that the said Franklin and his wife for ____ and consideration of Seven hundred dollars ____ in hand paid the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents to grant bargain and sell unto the said Lee and his heirs forever a certain tract or parcel of land in said County of Madison and on the waters of the Walnut (?) Witnesseth that the said William Wilkinson for the consideration of Eight hundred Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Noah Lee the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath bargained sold aliened granted and confirmed unto the said Noah Lee and by these presents doth bargain sell grant alien and confirm unto the said Noah Lee a certain tract or parcel of land lying in Madison County on the waters of the walnut meadow fork a branch of paint lick creek and containing one hundred and twelve acres and bound as follows. To wit, Beginning at a boulder (?) ash and Black walnut thence East one hundred and twenty six poles to an Elm and Hickory thence South two hundred and twenty poles to two Black Oakes, Thence west eights Six poles to a surgar tree, Thence north five degrees East fifteen poles to a hoopwood corner to Edward Stephenson, thence with Stephensons line north Eighty five degrees west fifty three poles to a hickory and white ash and two buckeyes thence down the creek as its meandering Binding on William Tituses line to the Beginning. Indenture Peter Lee Madison County, KY Deed Book G 1808 - 1810 Pages 293-295 FHC film #0183287 This Indenture made the second day of October in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and nine Between Peter Lee and Catherine his wife of the county of Madison and state of Kentucky of the one part and James Runkle of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Peter Lee and Catharine his wife for and in consideration of the sum of seventy five pounds current money of Kentucky in hand paid by the said James Runkle the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge that he the said Peter Lee and Cathrine his wife hath granted bargained sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth grant sell alien and confirm unto the said James Runkle a certain tract or parcel of land containing fifth three acres be the same more or less lying and being in the county of Madison on Taylors Fork which is a branch of Silver Creek being part of a survey of a 1100 acres granted to George Smith and Bounded as followeth. Beginning where said Smiths lines crosses Taylors Fork on an ____ on the north bank and a hickory on the South Bank thereof at A thence south 17 = degrees West one hundred and twelve poles croping the old town fork and running with said Smith's line to a buckeye at the head of a hollow at B thence a new line north seventy eight West fifty six poles to a beach tree on the bank of Taylors fork at the mouth of a _____at C thence up Taylors fork with the meanders thereof to the Beginning all the estate right title interest claim and demand of the said Peter Lee and Catharine his wife of in and to the said land and premises and all the deeds _____ and _____ touching or in any wise concerning the same to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land and premises hereby bargained and sold with thes appurtenances to him the said James Runkle his heirs and asigns forever to the _____proper use care and behoof of him the said James Runkle his heirs and asigns forever and the Peter Lee and Catharine his wife doth hereby convenant and agree to and with the said James Runkle his heirs Executors and administrators shall and will warrant and forever defend the fifty three acres of land be the same more or les and premises with the appurtenances hereby bargained and sold to him the said James Runkle her heirs Executors administrators and assigns against the claim of all and every other person or persons whatsoever.
