Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of sixty five [?] dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents do hereby grant bargain and sell unto the said Joel Todd and his heirs and assigns forever all their _____ party of the first part interest right and title _____ and heirs of Richd Lee Decd in a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Madison State of Kentucky and on the Waters of Paint Lick and Silver Creek it being a part of 1232 = acres which Stephen Walker purchased of Carter Clay and which was conveyed by a Commissioner appointed by a decree of the Madison Circuit Court to the said Richard lee dated 15 day of Feb 1827 and which tract of land hereby conveyed is bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at two white oaks on William Harvey's line a corner made for Stranghans [?] 150 acres thence with Stranghans [?] line South 330 poles to a chestnut and two black oaks and white oak trees marked pointers in a line of Stephen Walker's 32 = acres thence with said Walker's line East crossing the Bushy Fork of Silver Creek 153 poles to a white oak and dogwood thence North 330 poles crossing said Bushy Fork and running with the dividing line to a stake corner to William Harvey thence with said Harvey's line West 153 poles to the Beginning containing by survey three hundred and seven acres be the same more or less to have and to hold unto him the said Joel Todd and his heirs and assigns forever and them the said parties of the first part for themselves their heirs and do hereby convenant to and with the said Joel Todd that they will warrant and forever defend the before described tract of land with its appurtenances against the claims of themselves and against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons claiming by through or under them the said parties of the first part.
