HELEN COLLINS HUNT - 81, Danville, formerly of Union County, died Dec.2. She was born Aug. 23, 1918 in Union County to the late Jess and Ora O'Nan Collins. Preceded in death by husband Willard C. Hunt. Survived by two daughters, Nancy Ellis of Danville and Pam Kitchens of Gadsen, AL; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Graveside services were held Sat. Dec. 4 at Bellevue Cemetery in Danville. WALLENE MARTEN - 87, Sturgis, died Wed. Dec. 1 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. Preceded in death by her husband Walter in 1979. Services were Nov. 24 at the Neill Funeral Home in Mooseville, NC. DAVID GUY HILLYARD - 73, of Corydon, died Mon. Dec. 6, on Bridwell Farms in Henderson of an apparent heart attack. He was a 47 year member of Bennett Memorial United Methodist Church, where he had been a Methodist youth counselor and former member of the Administrative Council. He was retired from the Henderson Post Office after more than 20 years of service, and was a WWII US Navy Veteran, having served on Admiralty Island. He also was a former co-owner of Kelly Energy Oil Co and was co-owner of Diet Center. Survived by his wife of 26 years, Helen Griggs Hillyard; six daughters, Joyce Lutz, Ginger Lambert, Judy Cavins, Vicki Woodruff, Sandra Thomas and Lynn Steinwachs, all of Henderson; one son, Logan Curtis Hillyard of Lexington; two sisters, Georgia Mitchem of Evansville and Louvena Larimore of Logansport, IN; eight grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
