I am pretty sure this was my ggrandmother, Frances Murray Duncan Campbell. BURGLAR IS ROUTED BY COVINGTON WOMAN An attempted daylight robbery of the Kroger Grocery & Baking Co. store, 601 Main-St., Covington, was foiled Friday afternoon by Mrs. Frances Campbell, living in an upstairs apartment. While clerks were out Mrs. Campbell heard a noise in the hallway downstairs. "What are you doing there?" she shouted to a man who was using a hatchet to pry open a barricaded window leading into the store. As she started down the stairs the would-be thief stood his ground a moment, then hurled his hatchet in her direction and fled out the door. Mrs. Campbell pursued him thru the alley, but he dodged thru a yard and escaped. She described him to police as about 5 feet 7 inches in height, weighing about 170 pounds and wearing a tan garbardine and light cap. Because of the darkness of the hall she was unable to get a good look at his face.
