Hopkins Co 1824 Last will & Testament of Caleb Litten Esq. In the name of God amen. I Caleb Litten of the State of Kentucky and Hopkins County being sick and weak in body and of perfect mind, thanks be to God, and knowing that its apointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to firmly and first of all I give and recommend my soul unto the almighty God that give it. As touching such worldly estate werewith it has God to help me ,in this life and give and dispose of in the following manner and form. First I give and bequeath unto my wife Mary Litten all my said and personal estate being in Hopkins County, during her lifetime or her widowhood at her death or marrage, I give and bequeath unto John & Burton the tract of land whereon I now live and the tract of land I purchased of Arthur Bab and my tracts of land being in Calwell County I give to my son Sollomon one half of said land, the balance to be equally divided between Rebecca Fox and Susanah Stevenson and Hester Litten and if said land is lost it is thus lost, as for Thomas and Caleb I give them one dollar each having being amply rewarded them heretofore, at my wifes death or marriage an equal division between them be given Rebecka, Susanah, Hester, Sollomon, Sinthy, Burton, John, Mary & Elizabeth Rachel of all my personal estate.
