Jan. 16, at her residence. Preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Lou Bullock in 1986. Survived by her husband of 48 years, Joseph "Buster" Bullock; two daughter Peggy Bullock of Louisville & Martha English of LaGrange; two sons, Danny Bullock of Henderson & Mike Bullock of Calhoun; two brothers, Basil Willett of Waverly & Pete Willett of Sorgho; four grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services were held Jan. 18, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church with burial at St. Louis Cemetery. Pall bearers were Darrell Willett, Keith Willett, Scott Willett, Stephen Mabrey, Mark Mabrey, and Dave English. She was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. DORTHIA BARDEN - 83 of Dekoven, died Thurs. Jan. 13, 2000 at Medco of Henderson. Survived by one brother, Cecil Barden of Mt. Sterling, IL; several nieces and nephews. Services were held Sat. Jan. 15 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Union County. MARGARETE LANGE - 82 of Morganfield, died Thur. Jan. 13, at Methodist Hospital Union County. There were no survivors, Mina Terry cared for Ms. Lange. Services were held Mon. Jan. 17 at Whitsell Funeral Home, Morganfield, with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery. MABEL L. ABELL - 81 of Morganfield, died Thurs. Jan. 13, at Methodist Hospital in Henderson. She was born Feb. 16, 1918. She worked at several restaurants in the Morganfield area. Preceded in death by her parents, Powell & Allie Gip Shanks. Survived by three daughters, Priscilla Vernam of Morganfield, Linda Abell of Henderson, and Carol Arvin of Wildwood, MO; two sisters, Mary Frances Logan of Henderson and Lucille Millen of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Robin Goben of Morganfield, Kevin Arvin of Ft. Collins, Co, and Matt Arvin of Atlanta, GA; 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Services were held Jan. 15, at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery. MARY REGINA GREENWELL - 93 of Uniontown died Jan. 14, 2000 at Methodist Hospital Union County. She was a homemaker and lifetime member of ST. Agnes Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her husband William Sylvester Greenwell in 1991 nad daughter Joanne. Survived by four daughters, Charlotte Ann Greenwell and Mary Guillerman, both of Uniontown, Helen Dean Thomas of Morganfield and Patsy Lane of Henderson; three sons, Billy Don Greenwell of Waverly, Thomas S. Greenwell and Gerald B. Greenwell, both of Uniontown; two brothers, Frank Rapier Clements of South Lyon, MI and James T. Clements of Clio, MI; 32 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Services were Jan. 16, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown with burial in St. Agnes Cemetery. CHAMP RUSHING - 82 of Morganfield, died Jan. 15, at his residence. He was a member and deacon at First Baptist Church in Morganfield and a Sunday School Teacher. He was an active member and former officer of the Retired Teachers Associations and had taught school for 33 years. He was a WWII veteran. Preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Rushing in 1989. Survived by two daughters, Donna Mason of Morganfield and Bonnie Morrow of Sturgis; two sons, John Rushing of Jefferson, MD, and Roger Rushing of Peachtree City, GA; two sisters, May Symthe of Hoopston, IL and Geraldine Wroughton of Urbana, IL; two brothers, Roy Rushing of Methropolois, IL and Don Rushing of Brooksport, IL; 10 grandchildren , 3 great grandchildren. Services were held Jan l7, at First Baptist Church in Morganfield with burial in Odd Fellow Cemetery. JACKY LOVELL - 47 of Morganfield, died Jan. 17, 2000 at Methodist Hospital Union County, due to cancer. Born Nov. 27, 1952 to Paul Lovell and Gertie Marie (Wolfe) Lovell. He was a member of Henshaw Christian Church where he served as a deacon adn Sunday School Teacher. He was employed at Peabody Coal Camp #1 for over 25 years, and was Secretary-Treasurer at UMWA Local 1793. Mr. Lovell was also a Kentucky Colonel. Survived by his wife, Patti Lovell of Morganfield, one daughter, Ashley Lovell of Morganfield,; one son, Chris Lovell of Morganfield; seven sisters, Irene Moman, Ann Heavrin and Laura Gross, all of Morganfield, Marie Hanks of Harvey, IL., Bobbie Wynn of Lake Mary, FL., and Vicki Holeman of Sturgis and Pauline Yates of Uniontown; four brothers, Jim Lovell of Marion, IL., Richard Lovell of Clay, Michael Lovell of Bowling Green and Tony Lovell of Uniontown. She was a member of Immaculate Parish and served as volunteer at Mercy Hospital in Owensboro, as well as a homemaker. Preceded in death by her son David Allen Mayberry in 1969. Survived by one son, Steven Mayberry of Owensboro; two sisters, Janice Thompson of Morganfield and Betty Lou Demko of Joliet, IL and 3 grandchildren. Services were Nov. 26 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown with burial in St. Agnes Cemetery. DALE W. WOLF - 53 of Robards, died Nov. 16 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, In, after an accident in a trucking terminal. A truck driver for 30 years, he was formely employed by USS Holland Freight. He was a 15 year member of Teamsters 215 in Evansville and was of the Pentecostal faith. Survived by his wife of 34 years, Hazel Putney Wolf; five daughters, Angela Helmick, Debra Gish and Kim Wolf, all of Henderson, Vicky Shelton and Sheila Crook both of Robards; one son, Cody Wolf of Robards; three sisters, Connie Sutton and Marilyn Smith both of Sebree, and Norma McMillan of NC; five brothers, Harold Wolf of Henderson, James Wolf of Robards, Ron Wolf of Sebree, Alan Wolf of Uniontown and Darrel Wolf of Evansville; his mother, Barbara Means Wolf of Sebree; and 8 grandchildren. Services were held on Saturday at Tompkins Funeral Home Sebree-Poole Chapel with burial in Springdale Cemetery in Sebree. MARY WANDA ADAMSON PROVENZANO - 64 of Marion, died Wed. Nov. 17 at her home. Survived by her mother, Sally Adamson of Marion; three sons, Shannon Johnson and Jay Magnetta, both of Ft. Lauderdale, FLand Hod Johnson of Marion; one daughter, Myra Mitchell of Salt Lake City, UT; one sister, Marcia Davis of Marion and two grandchildren. Preceded in death by her father, Everon Adamson. Funeral Services were Nov. 21 at Gilbert Funeral Home with burial in Bells Mines Cemetery. MARY LOIS ALVEY - 61 of Sturgis died of an apparent heart attack Sat. Nov. 20 at Methodist Hospital in Morganfield. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sturgis. Preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Pride in 1964, and her second husband Francis Alvey in 1994. Survived by one daughter, Kelli Pride of Sturgis; one son, Leslie Pride of Sturgis; three sisters, Alma Chandler of Sturgis, Hilda Williams of Sullivan, and Charlotte Walker of Morganfield; one brother, Reggie Gray of Sturgis; a granddaughter and two step grandchildren. Services were held Nov. 22 at First Baptist Church in Sturgis with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Clay. MARY FRANCES CAIN - 68 of Philpot, died Nov. 21 at her home. A homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, flower gardening and cooking. Survived by her husband of 51 years, Anthony "Tony" Cain; five daughters, Mary Rose Cain Furguson of LaGrange, IN, Linda Lou Cain Palmer, Dorothy Dean Cain, Connie Sue Cain Sharp, all of Owensboro, Roxanna Cain Courtney of Morganfield; one son, Jospeph Anthony Cain of Philpot; three brothers, Emmitt Lee Fenwick of Sevierville, TN, Wilford Fenwick of Calhoun, and William A. Fenwich of Pala Alto, CA; fourteen grandchildren; four step grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services were today (Nov. 24) Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
