Spradlin, 93, of Paintsville, died Sunday, July 22, at Highland Regional Medical Center. Mr. Spradlin was born August 21, 1907, in Johnson County, to the late Ben J. Spradlin and Stella Conley Spradlin. He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel Daniel Spradlin. Surviving are one son Ben J. Spradlin of Martin; one daughter Charlyce Compton of Prichard, West Virginia, and a special friend, Josephine Horne of Paintsville. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 24, at the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating the service was James Kelly Caudill. Burial followed at Mayo Cemetery. TOUTMAN, one of Lebanon's best-known citizens died Monday evening as the results of paralytic stroke. He was a native of Kentucky and was 79 years old. He was three times married. The first time to Mary B. TODD, second time to Margaret SUTTON, and the last time to Elizabeth WHITT. He served in the civil war in the 87th Ind. Vol. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the late residence. Burial at Poplar Grove cemetery. * Note from Janet ISLEY Price, I am posting this obituary for others.
