Hosack of Bell Centre Ohio, father of Mrs Meshac Gentry of this place died Wed night. Mrs Gentry left Thursday morning Miss Lucy Griffin sister of circuit clerk J.F. Griffin and Mrs S.C. Franklin died Wed evening Mr T.T. Wallace one of our oldest and most honored citizens died Wed about 1 pm. MR Wallace was about 62 years of age had never married and had always made his home with his sister Mrs Ann Fish, there being only the two children. For several years he was deputy county clerk and that place he always filled with credit. Fields returned sun from his Lincoln county home Rev Perry Smith preached in the Presbyterian church Sun night Rome Adams has sold his mules but purchased another and still rolling the wheels On Tuesday evening Mr Rolla Harris of Whites Station Madison county and Miss Louris McGuire of this place were married by Elder Dickerson of London. The bride is the beautiful and accomplished daughter of MR and Mrs James McGuire of the place and her many friends wish her a happy and prosperous voyage. Jones of Wildie was here last Sat night on business Uncle Wm McGuire one of the oldest men in Rockcastle county has been very ill for a few days past G.W. Jones was over from Conway the most of this week visiting his son while his little babe has been sick Little M. Flora Jones has been very sick for the past week and she does not seem to be any better at this writing J.W. Shackleford of Boyd, G.B. Castineau of Garrard and C.G. Baker of Berea were the guests of M.R. Jones last week they succeeded in finding plenty of turkey (under a tub on Horse Lick) beside the 20 pounder they took home with them Dr. R.H. Lewis of Wildie has made several trips to see little baby Jones during the past week who has been very sick Mr A.J. McGuire arrived in due time with his loving companion and moved into the W.D. McGuire property at this place Ed Sexton was over from Wildie last week and purchased three claves from C.C. Clark for the sum of $43 Miss Cleo Martin the youngest daughter of Ex judge C.S. Martin and Mr Richard Early of Brackenridge were joined in the bonds of matrimony on last Wednesday evening at the home of the bride near this place. We extend to them our best wishes and hope that their home will be marked with peace love and happiness BRODHEAD Mrs J.T.
