Crow, aged 23 years, son of Mike Crow, was found dead on the railroad bridge on the L. & N. R. R. near Myers last Monday morning. The body was fearfully mangled and indicated that death was instantaneous. Coroner Hutchings was called and held an inquest at which it was developed that he had been in attendance on the meeting near White Chimney and had also been to Carlisle during the evening and had started home about ten or eleven o'clock, which was the last time he was seen alive. The Coroner's Jury, hearing developed no facts except that he was supposedly killed by the excursion train Sunday night some time about 11:30. Funeral services were held at St Johns' Church, Monday, and burial at Carlisle Cemetery. This makes two of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Crow's sons that have been killed by the railroad and both within a few yards of the same place. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Moorefield Oil and Gas Company was organized last Saturday and arrangements will be made at once to sink one or more wells in that vicinity with the hope of developing oil or gas, or possibly both.
