This Indenture made and entered on the 18th day of July 1845, Between Philip Bellis & Mary Bellis his wife of Platte County & state of Missouri of the one part and Robert C. Young of Nicholas County and state of Kentucky of the other part, Witnesseth: That the said Philip Bellis & wife for and in consideration of the sum of Seventeen hundred Dollars a part to them heretofore paid and a part to be paid hereafter, the receipt of said payment and the notes of said Young for the part unpaid, are hereby acknowledged. Have granted bargained & sold and do hereby convey and confirm unto the said Robert C. This indenture made the 19th day of October in the year 1835. Between Jacob Bellis and Susan his wife of Nicholas County and State of Kentucky of the one part and Isaac Smalley of Bourbon Co. and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth That the said Jacob Bellis and wife for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand Dollars to them in hand Paid and the note of hand of said Smalley for the sum of seven hundred and forty Dollars fifty cents dated on the seventeenth day of this instant and due on the fifteenth day of October 1836 and also one other note of hand of the said Smalley’s for the same amount of the same date and due the 15th day of October 1837 both of said notes express on their face that they are in part of the purchase of said Bellis’s plantation and are attested by the M. Hopkins the receipt of said one thousand Dollars and two notes are hereby acknowledged.
