Mrs Samantha Hankins Influenza Victim 704 West Broadway; age 83 yrs, died Friday in Hopkins Co Hospital where she was admitted last Sunday. Death resulted from influenza pneumonia complicated by asthma. Member: Earlington General Baptist Church Widow of Rev. Lee Hankins who died in 1929 Survived by 3 ch: T H? Hankins, Birminghams, Ala; J.B. Hankins, Los Angeles; E A? Hankins, Spokane Wash; 3 grch she reared: Staff Sgt Jewell Hankins who has seen service in Africa, Sicily and Italy, recently married at Camp Patrick Henry, Va and expected to reach Madisonville tonight; Mrs Jack Gamblin, Madisonville rfd 6; Mrs Oden Morgan,Mortons Gap. Mrs Hankis was the last one of her immediate family. Three brothers and a sister [not named] have died in the last fifteen months.
