She was a native of Lincoln County, a retired elementary school teacher, a member of the Stanford Christian Church and of the Stanford Woman's Club. Survivors are her two daughters, Mrs. B. J. McGuffey, Stanford, and Mrs. G. T. Neu, Newport News, VA; four sisters, Mrs. Chris Tschanz, Detroit, Mich; Mrs. Frank Neal, Knoxville, Tenn; Miss Lelia Bourne, Cincinnati; and Mrs. Elmer Young, Stanford; a brother, Harold Bourne, Detroit, Mich, and four grandchildren: Debbie, Jeff and Todd McGuffey, and Erik Neu. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Beazley and Rainey Funeral Home by the Rev. Claude Shumate and the Rev. Elmore Ryle. Burial will be in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Bearers will be Judge Leonard Boone, Joe Grimes, Killis Dawson, D. E. Wilson, J. C. Eddleman and Lynn Gooch. Watkins, who was a physician and Methodist Church circuit rider and for John Berry. It reads thus: "Know all men by these present that we Baker E. Watkins and John W. Berry are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the final sum of 50 lbs for the payment of which well and Truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs constitution and administration jointly and severally firmly by these present writing our hand and seal this 3rd day of April 1822. The condition of the above obligation is such that if there should be no legal cause to obstruct a marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between the said Watkins and Sally Berry then the above obligation to be void otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue.
