Mr Endicott was born near Colville, in bourbon county, on March 15, 1836. In his earlier life he was a school teacher, following which he engaged in the general merchandise business at Colville. After several years in business there, he moved to Oakland Mills forty eight years ago and opened a general merchandise store, which he conducted until the time of his death. Despite his advanced age, Mr. Endicott was active and was able to attend to his store until a few weeks ago. Sixty-four years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Elizabeth MMAFFETT, who died thirty years ago. To this union six children were born. Following the death of his first wife he married Mrs. Lou BLAKE Uncle Resin, as he was familiarly called was one of the best known men of the county, and was loved and honored by all who knew him. For sixty-five years he was a member of the Baptist church and was a faithful attendant at all services when his health permitted. He was a kind, affable gentleman of the old school and his store was the community center of the vicinity. He is survived by his wife, three sons, Hubbard, George, and Mack Endicott, all of the county, one daughter, Mrs. Reuben McCORMICK of Cincinnati, and two brothers, Lafe Endicott of Cynthiana, and Samuel Endicott, of Millersburg. Funeral services were leld at his late home Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Joseph CONNELL pastor of the Carlisle Baptist Church, followed by interment in the family lot in the Millersburg cemetery. I know NOTHING about these people I only transcribe the information. Louella Endicott, 96 years old, of the Oakland Mills section, died at 7 o'clock Friday morning at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, where she had been ill for two days with pneumonia. Mrs.. Endicott was twice married, both husbands having preceded her in death. The first was Thornton BLAKE and the second Rezin T. ENDICOTT She is survived by two grandchildren, Miss Mary Lou Blake, Carlisle and Daniel Blake, Lexington, six step-grand-children, Stanley and Ste ___ Blake, Carlisle Howard Blake, Catlettsburg, Julian and Hirum Blake and Mrs. Elizabeth LACKEY, Richmond: three great-grandchildren: three stepsons, Hubbard Endicott, Carlisle, Mack and ____ Endicott, Oakland Mills and one step-daughter, Mrs. Sallie McCORMICK, of Ohio. Mrs. Endicott was a life-long member of the Baptist church and was a Christian woman of the highest ideals. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Sunday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. R. R. She has been ill for the past two days. Mrs Endicott was a member of the Christian church, a daughter of the late W.H. and Nancy Jane EUBANKS PURCELL, and has spent her entire life in this county. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Henry SAMPSON of Price Hill, Cincinnati, a son, Hubbard M Endicott, yeoman 1-c who is overseas in the Pacific arena: two sisters, Mrs. Forrest CURTIS, Carlisle, and Mrs. George Watkins, Bourbon county: two grandchildren, Betty and Henry Sampson, Jr., of Cincinnati. Mrs. Endicott died December 27th. 1943 Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock, Sunday afternoon at her late home on West Main street, conducted by Rev. LaVerne Taylor, minister of the Carlisle Christian church, and burial was in the Carlisle cemetery. I know NOTHING about these people I only transcribe the information.
