Witnesseth that the said John Kaughanour hath this day bound unto the said Henry Keath his son Abraham Kaughanour to serve the said Henry after the manner of an apprentice until he attains to the age of twenty one years, which will be on the twenty first day of May One Thousand eight hundred and fourteen. The said Henry obliges himself to learn the said Abraham the art of farming and find him in good & sufficient diet, lodging and apparel fitten for an apprentice during his said Abrahams apprenticeship during which time the said Henry is to give him twenty four months schooling after he is ten years of age.But if the said Henry should die before the said Abraham comes of age he is to serve Rachel Keith wife of said Henry until he attains the age of twenty one years, if she should live that long. If not then the said Abraham is to live with Alex Keath, son of Henry Keath the remaining part of his time and the said Alex shall also find him in good and sufficient apparel, diet and lodging fitten for an apprentice and at the expiration of his said apprentice-ship the said Henry is to give said Abraham one decent new suit of home made Cloths and fifteen pounds in current money. Witnesseth that the said John Kaughanour hath this day bound unto the said Henry Rhoads his son Joseph Kaughanour to serve the said Henry Henry after the manner of an apprentice until he attains to the age of twenty one years which will be on the twenty third day of June One Thousand eight hundred and eleven. The said Henry obliges himself to learn the said Joseph the art of farming and to find him in good and sufficient diet, lodging and apparel fitten for an apprentice during his said Josephs apprenticeship during which time the said Henry is to give him twenty one months schooling (viz) nine months between now and the time he arrives to the age of fifteen years. And twelve months between that time and the time of him coming to the age of twenty one. But if the said Henry should die before the said Joseph comes of age he is to serve Elizabeth Rhoads wife of said Henryuntil he does attain the age of twenty one. If she should live that long. If not then the said Joseph is to live with David Rhoads, son of said Henry the remainder part of his time and the said David shall also find him in good and sufficient diet, lodging and apparel fitten for any apprentice and at the expiration of his said apprenticeship the said Henry is to give said Joseph one decent new suit of cloths and thirty poundes current money.
