PASSED AWAY T. M. Swart Passed away about 5 O'clock Tuesday afternoon at the home of his daughter Mrs. Janie Yount of Sedalia. Death was due to affirmaties of advanced age growing worse the last ten days. Deceased was a pioneer citizen of Henry County for many years owning a large farm in the Norris vicinity. He was held in the highest esteem by every one of his wide acquaintances. He and Mrs. Swart being known as "Uncle Tom" and "Aunt Kate by all. As years passed by and by and his age nearing 90 he and his invalid companion went to Sedalia to live with their only daughter where everything was done to make him comfortable and happy. Besides the wife and daughter he is survived by one son W. H. Swart of near Maurine also five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was born August 23, 1839 in Mason county Ky. And came to Henry county on March 17, 1874 He was married and converted and united with the Presbyterian Church when living in Kentucky. Funeral services were scheduled at the daughter's home in Sedalia at 11 A.M. Wednesday. The body was then brought to Clinton and services were held at the Christian church at 2 P.M. officiating was Rev. A. F. Lindsey. Burial was in Englewood.
