He was a member of Wilkerson Temple United Methodist Church. He was born 9-5-1917; died 7-4-1987. Survivors include his wife Bessie Puckett, a daughter Betty Ann Logsdon, Route 3, Munfordville; a sister, Dorothy Staples, Upton; 3 grand-children; 1 step grandchild. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. CDT Tuesday at Wilkerson Temple United Methodist Church. Burial was in Wilkerson Temple Cemetery. Jones, of Horse Cave 56, died of 6:24 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville. He was a hart County native, a farmer and a member of Fairview Church of Christ. He was the son of the late Millard E. and Lela Mae Bell Jones. Survivors include his wife, Gayle Waddell Jones, Horse Cave; 2 daughters, Shannon and her husband, Terry Matthews; Sharla and her husband Ricky Young, Horse Cave; a son Stacy W. and his wife Cindy Jones of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren, Justin and Miranda Matthews; two brothers, Wrendle Jones, Horse Cave; Everett Jones Valparaiso; one sister, Ora Carroll, Louisville; and several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Pearl Puckett, a native of Hart County, a retired employee of the Old Martin's Transfer and Warehouse Co; an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Disabled American Veterans and Teamster Union Local 89. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Moore of Kessinger, and Carolyn Shuffitt of Louisville; six sons: Douglas Puckett, Kessinger, Edgar T, Curtis R. and Anthony Puckett all of Shepherdsville; Gary and Roy Puckett, both of Louisville. Four stepdaughters, Dorothy Hutchins, Bloomfield; Betty Mattingly, Barbara Davenport, and Patricia Wilson, of Louisville; two stepsons, W. A. and Boyd Curtsinger both of Louisville; three sisters, Kathleen D. Puckett, Bessie M. Puckett, and Ruby G. Taylor, all of Munfordville; four brothers, Walter L.
