Griffin, 54, of Jim Forsythe Lane will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Larry Moore. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery. She died Wednesday at her home. Born Nov. 7, 1947, in Miami, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Carl and Irene Alexander. She was a registered nurse employed at Harrodsburg Health Care Manor. She attended Southside Christian Church and was a graduate of Lexington Community College. Survivors include her husband, William Griffin Sr.; two sons, Michael G. McDonald of Jessup, Ga., and Gregory S. McDonald of Vista, Calif.; a daughter, Cheryl K. McLemore of Stanford; two stepsons, Robert Griffin of Wellington, Kan., and William Griffin Jr. of Lexington; a step- daughter, Judy Tate of Wichita, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and eight step grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Gary King, David King, Jerry Fowler, William Griffin Jr., Russell Collins and Timmy Griffin. Born June 10, 1917, in Floyd County, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Lillie Music George. She was a member of Alum Springs First Church of God and the widow of the Rev. Scott M. Griffith. Survivors include two sons, Norman Griffith of Danville and Larry Griffith of Hillsboro, Ohio; a daughter, Janice Cook of Greentown, Ind.; a sister, Ruth Watkins of Newark, Ohio; six grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Alum Springs First Church of God by the Revs. Dennis Creech, Daryl Allen and Keith Willoughby. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bud, Scott and Jeff Griffith, Mark Hite, Larry Peacock, Don George and Ron Critchfield. Lailon Dan Flannery, 72, of Crab Orchard, formerly of Junction City, were today at Southern Heights Baptist Church by the Revs. Junior Fields, Dan Gutenson, Jim Henisson, Michael Spurr Jr. and Paul McFarland. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery. He died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Pallbearers were Danny Spurr, C.W. Huffman, Shane Northcutt, Ken Price, Jamie and Alleen Turner, Jason Smith, Honorary pallbearers were local ministers. Stith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
