Noel, 77, died Saturday at Hospice Care Center, Lexington. Born Nov. 19, 1924, in Marion County, he was a son of the late Roy B. and Maudie Mae Alberson Noel. He was a retired farmer and a Baptist. He was the widower of Illa Virginia Bandy Noel and was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Kay Noel. Survivors include five daughters, Onedia McClure, Maxine Redmon, Deborah N. Redmon and Geraldine Girtley, all of Frankfort, and Brenda Gaddie of Buffalo; a son, Paul Thomas Noel of Danville; five sisters, Louise Gunter of Texarcana, Texas, Hallie Ann Williams, Wanda Joyce Williams, and Dorothy Jean Warren, all of Frankfort, and Irene Atwell of Danville; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Daniel Dycus. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. today. VanArsdall, 66, of Gose Pike, Danville, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by the Revs. Gerald Payne and David Collier. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery with military rites. He died Wednesday at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lexington. Born April 11, 1935, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late George W. and Alice Devine VanArsdall. He was self-employed, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, and a member of American Legion Post 52 and Gethsemane Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Esther Payne VanArsdall; a son, John W. VanArsdall of Andalusia, Ala.; a brother, George VanArsdall of Danville; a sister, Bessie Coffman of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and a granddaughter. Pallbearers will be Bobby Payne, Steve Irvin, Donnie Coffman, Victor VanArsdall, Mike Curtis and Kevin Blankford. Born Aug. 23, 1922, in Owensboro, he was the son of the late Ezra and Thelma O'Bannon Wilson. He was a superintendent for Jackson Chair Co. for 35 years and after his retirement became a self-employed furniture maker. He was a member of Wing Avenue Baptist Church in Owensboro and the American Legion. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served as private first class and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He also was a Kentucky Colonel. Survivors include his wife, Frances M. Glover Wilson; two sons, Donald W. Wilson and John D. Wilson, both of Danville; two daughters, Jefferi L. Murphy of Liberty and Sharon K. "Sissie" Collier of Madison, Ind.; a brother, Charles Wilson of Owensboro; two sisters, Nina Midkiff and Amanda Clark, both of Owensboro; eight grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Stith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today. Born June 8,1912, in Perryville, he was the son of Thomas Harmon and Ruth Powell Harmon. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Centre College, member of Junction City United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine "Hattie Sue" Harmon. Survivors include a sister, Lena Joyner of Danville; and his caregivers, Bubby and Rita Isham of Harrodsburg.
