Death was said to be apparently caused by a 25-caliber bullet wound in the back, age about 40. Name: Albert Baker Residence: Route 4, Tompkinsville KY Died; Fatally injured in an automobile accident on 25 Dec 1978, age 75. Former citizen of Sparta, TN Accident occurred at the junction of Highways 90 and 163 about midway between Tompkinsville and Edmonton. Mr. Baker, step-father of State Trooper Ed Davis, was riding with Trooper Davis at the time of the accident. Mrs Baker, mother of Trooper Davis, was also a passenger in the car. A second car involved the collision was driven by James Stockton of Albany KY. Others passengers in the Stockton car were Marie, Teresa, Eddie and Glenda Stockton. The Stocktons were taken to the Burkesville hospital and Trooper Davis and Mrs. Baker were taken to a Glasgow hospital for examination and released. Funeral services and burial of Mr. Baker was at Sparta, TN on 27 Dec 1968.
