Woboril of McDowell Drive will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bellevue Cemetery. She died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Prentice D. and Gertrude Brand Avant and the widow of Lawrence "Larry" Worboril. She was a graduate of Kentucky College for Women and received an A.B. degree from Georgetown College. She was a former teacher at Toliver Elementary School and co- owner with her husband of a vending business which was sold to Servomation in 1963. She was an elder at First Christian Church and served as past president of the Allen-Hart Sunday School class and the Christian Women Fellowship. She was a former regent of the St. Asaph Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, a member of the Garden Club of Danville, member and former treasurer of Ephraim McDowell Hospital Auxiliary, a member of the Heart of Danville and the Boyle County Historical Society. She served for several years on the board of trustees of Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. There will be no visitation. Honorary pallbearers are Oren Clem, Leon Gooch, Mort Hoagland, Joe Martin, Stuart Powell, S.R. Wold and elders at First Christian Church. Memorials may go to the church building fund. Born Oct. 30, 1913, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Stella France Mayes Raines. She was a homemaker and attended Barnetts Creek United Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, William H. Martin of Sarasota, Fla., Donald R. Martin and Marvin Martin, both of Liberty; three daughters, Vikki Ellis of El Paso, Texas, Mary F. Goode and Margie Martin, both of Lexington; two half sisters, Lucille Owens of Penilis Park, Fla., and Sarah Murphy of Mooresville, Ind.; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Born Oct. 5, 1949, in Pike County, he was a son of the late Ergel and Gertrude Blackburn Hobbs. He was a former machine operator for Arrow Aluminum and a member of Blessed Hope Old Regular Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Doris Leatherberry Hobbs; four daughters, Connie, Bonnie, Candy and Kelly Hobbs, all of Lorain, Ohio; three brothers, Glen and Carl Hobbs, both of Lorain, and Clifton Hobbs of Grafton, Ohio; three sisters, Sylvia Hobbs of Sullivan, Ohio, Kathy Slone and Florence Johnson, both of Liberty; and several grandchildren. She was a homemaker, a member of Salvation Army Church and the widow of Charles Preston Jr. Survivors include a son, Robert Preston of Hickory, N.C.; two sisters, Mary Gamble of Garland, Texas, and Marla Preston of Lancaster; six brothers, Kenneth, Gilbert and Paul McElroy, all of Stanford, Bobby and Johnny McElroy, both of Danville and Edgar McElroy of Lancaster; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Born in Central City, he was a professional lobbyist for the Kentucky General Assembly. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Wardrip Wilkins; a daughter, Susan Wilkins of Indianapolis, Ind.; a son, Jeff Wilkins of Cincinnati; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
