Boeckman, 88, died Tuesday. He was a retired employee of Chatfield & Woods Sack Co. after 50 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha C. "Betty" Spalinger Boeckman. Survivors include a son, Carl T. Boeckman of Danville. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas M. Boeckman. Services will be private. Born Sept. 28, 1919, in Ireland, she was a member of the Sisters of Mercy for 66 years. Survivors include two nieces, Laura Gallagher of Bloomingdale, Ill., and Andrea Cass of Danville; and a nephew, Steven Gallagher of Houston, Texas. Services were Wednesday at Mercy Chapel in Evergreen Park. Pruitt Funeral Home. She died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born May 1, 1906, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Betty Lane Hair. She was retired from Hustonville School where she was a cook for 25 years. She was the widow of Bill Coffman and a member of Ellisburg Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Bernice Roberts of Hustonville and Gloria Pruett of Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother, Thomas Hair of Junction City; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dewey and Ernest T. Coffman. Pallbearers will be David Coffman, Mike Rhea, Brad Ellis, Bud Jeffries and Jerry Ellis. She was employed at the Methodist Home of Kentucky for 17 years and was a member of Versailles United Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Dottie McGirr of Danville, Helen Grubbs of Versailles and Gayle Bandy of Perryville; two sisters, Virginia Gray of Harrodsburg and Orine Gibson of Perryville; two brothers, Virgil Wilcher of Wilmore and Frank Wilcher of Gravel Switch; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
