Don Wells and Stephen Ramsey. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. She died Wednesday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 16, 1899, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Taylor and Effie Drury Robinson. She was a caregiver, a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the widow of Merrel Long. Survivors include two daughters, Leoda Carter of Lexington and Ava J. Horn of Mercer County; a half-brother, Curtis Robinson of Texas; a half-sister, Elizabeth Wells of Lawrenceburg; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Leon Long; and a great-great- grandchild. Pallbearers will be Nickie Long, Bill Rogers, Will Rogers, Maurice Long, J.T. Robinson, Holly Long and Norman Sallee. CAUSES DEATH OF MRS. EDDIE HIGHTOWER, NEAR GREEN CASTLE Mrs. Eddie HIGHTOWER, wife of C. C. HIGHTOWER, died at 7 o’clock last night at her home near Green Castle. She was 34 years of age and had been ill for some time of consumption. She is survived by her husband and one small child. Mrs. HIGHTOWER was well known and highly esteemed in the vicinity where she lived, and her death will be regretted. Born in Nicholasville, he was the son of the late Oklahoma and Anna M. Wilson Reynolds. He was an equipment manager with Republic Services Inc. He was a retired Army maintenance warrant officer, a Vietnam veteran and the recipient of a Purple Heart, three Bronze Stars, Meritorious Service Medal and Army Commendation with Oak Leaf Clusters. He also was a Kentucky Colonel. Survivors include his wife, Gerda Kuhn Reynolds; two sons, Ronald Reynolds of Lexington and Michael Reynolds of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Anna E. Meester of Bremerton, Wash., and Ramona L. Reynolds of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Barbara D. Ferguson of Danville and Joyce Collins of Lexington; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Harrodsburg, by the Rev. Joseph Muench. Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
