"Mrs. Malissa Lewis died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Georgia Burnett of Glasgow Junction last Saturday morning after an illness of three weeks. "She was 82 years old and was well known and much beloved woman. "Before her marriage she was Miss Malissa Newman and leaves several children: Mrs. Annie Grinstead of Hartford, Ind., Mrs. Mamie Shelton of Bowling Green, Mrs. Georgia Burnett, Messrs. Jim and Bob Lewis of this county, all of whom were with her when she died. "After appropriate services the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Rocky Hill Station. "Grandma" will be missed by a host of friends, besides the relatives who have the sympathy of all." "MISS BETTIE BYBEE "Miss Bettie Bybee died very suddenly at the home of herself and only sister, Miss Fannie Bybee, on Brown street, Saturday evening, just after six o'clock. She had been in very poor health for some time, and at the time stated was sitting in her room, when she was taken with a hemorrhage, bleeding freely from both nose and mouth, and died almost instantly. "There were three sisters, daughters of the late Frank Bybee, who died many years ago. Last April, Miss Rose died suddenly, leaving Misses Fannie and Bettie, and now Miss Fannie is left alone. "Miss Bettie was a member of the Christian Church, and was one of the most highly respected ladies of Glasgow. She has been librarian since the establishment of a library in Glasgow, and was courteouss and diligent, winning the affeciton of all who knew her. "Her death is a real loss to Glasgow, and an irreparable loss to her sister. "Funeral services were held at the residence Monday afdtrenoon, by Elders T. H. Alderson, J. A. Gaines, and R. A. Palmore, followed by burial in the Glasgow Cemetery. "Messrs. W. J. Davidson of Burnside, Price Davidson of Louisville, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Davidson of Bowling Green, Mr. Horace Young of Florida attended the funeral of Miss Bybee, and the large assembly from Glasgow and other sections of the county was a great tribute to the affection in which she was held by her acquaintenances.
