Boone 22 Mar 12, 1859 LaRue Co, Ky LaRue Co Deed Bk 11, pg 282-83: Jesse DAWSON 8 May 1878: This Deed of Conveyance made and entered into this 8th day of November 1878 between Jesse DAWSON and Nancy DAWSON his wife of the County of Larue and State of Kentucky part of the first part and Edward BELL of the County of Nelson and State of Kentucky party of the second part-- Witnesseth that said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Seventy five dollars on a credit of twelve months with a note bearing Intrest at six per cent from date do hereby sell and convey to the party of the second part his heirs and assigns the following described property- to wit: A certain tract or parcel of land lying on the SOUTH FORK EAST OF BARDSTOWN AND GREEN RIVER TURNPIKE Road and adjoining the land of THOMAS MERRIFIELD BEginning at the North West Corner of Thomas MERRIFIELDs lot- and running with the said Turnpike thirty five yards to a stake, thence parelell with said Thomas MERRIFIELD's lot in an Easternly direction Seventy yards to a stake, thence parelel with said Turnpike thirty five yards to a stake in Thomas MERRIFIELD's lot thence with Thomas MERRIFIELD"S line Seventy yards to the Turnpike the beginning corner Containing one half acre To have and To hold the Same together with all the appurtenances Thereunto belonging unto the party of the Second part his heirs and assigtns forever. And the said party of the first part hereby convenant with said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever lein retiained on the land for the purchase money. In Testimony whereof the first party have hereunto subscribed their names the date and year aforesaid Jesse DAWSON Nancy X(her mark) DAWSON test: A. MAYFIELD State of Kentucky County of Larue-- Sct I, W.H. HAMILTON, Clerk of the County Court for the County and State aforesaid Certify that the foregoing Deed of Conveyance from Jesse DAWSON and his wife Nancy DAWSON of the County and State aforesaid to Edward BELL of the County of Nelson and State aforesaid was on the 8th day of November 1878 produced in the said County and acknowledged before me by Jesse DAWSON and Nancy DAWSON his wife parties grantors thereto to be their act and deed and the contents and effects fo this Deed being explained to the said Nancy DAWSON by me Seperately and apart from her husband. She thereupon declared she did fully and voluntairly execute and deliver the same to be her act and deed and Consented for the same might be recorded.
