RECORDS: Mary Camron to Benjamin Pickerell Deed, Hardin County, KY ----------------------- Submitted by: Rick Pickerell Date: November 18, 2001 ----------------------- From the "Pickerell Peers", Vol. 4, No. 4, pp 75-77 Hardin County, Ky., deed book L. P. 427: This indenture made this 20th day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty four between Mary Camron of the county of Hardin and state of Kentucky of the one part and Benjamin Pickerell of the same county and state of the other part witnesseth that the said Mary Camron as one of the heirs at law of Anguish Camron deceased for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to her in hand paid by the said Benjamin Pickerell before the unsealing and delivery of these presents . She hath this day granted bargained and sold and by these presnts doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Benjamin Pickerell one undivided third part of a certain tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres lying and being in the county of Hardin and Washington on Salt Lick Creek the said 100 acres was conveyed by Timothy Coe and wife to the aforesaid Anguish Camron by deed dated the 28th March 1803 and recorded in the clerks office of the Hardin County Court in Liber B., page 168 and bounded as followeth, to wit: Beginning at a beech and sugar tree, thence north 13 degrees west thirty five poles to a sugar tree and buckeye thence north ten degrees east 48 poles to two buckeyes and an elm thence north seventy five degrees east one hundred and eighty poles to a cherry tree and ironwood thence south thirty degrees east one hundred and seventy two poles chestnut oak and dogwood thence south seventy two degrees west one hundred poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the aforesaid one undivided third part of the aforesaid one hundred acres to the said Benjamin Pickerell and his heirs and assigns forever the said Mary Camron as heir of said Anguish Camron deceased doth forever covenant and agree to and with said Benjamin Pickerell that she will warrant and defend the said oen undivided part of said 100 acres of land from the claim of herself, her heirs and assigns forever and from the claim or claims of all other person or persons whatsoever claiming the same by through or under her but from the claim of no other person or persons whatsoever.
