RECORDS: Thomas Camran to Benjamin Pickerell Deed, Hardin County, KY ----------------------- Submitted by: Rick Pickerell Date: November 18, 2001 ----------------------- From the "Pickerell Peers", Vol. 4, No. 4, pp 76-77 Deed book L., p. 428: This indenture made this 20th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven between Thomas Camran of the county of Grayson and the state of Kentucky of the one part and Benjamin Pickerell of Hardin county and state aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Thomas Camran for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and thirty dollars current money of Kentucky to him in hand paid have this day guaranteed, bargained and sold and by those presents doth guarantee bargain and sell unto the said Benjamin Pickerell his heirs assigns forever an undivided third part of one hundred acres being thirty three and one third acres lying and being in Hardin and Washington counties on the waters of Salt Lick creek being part of said one hundred acres which was convened by Timothy Cole and wife clearing to Anguish Camran who has since deceased leaving as his heirs John Camran, Polly Camran, and Thomas Camran who claims each one third part of the said one hundred acres. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land from the claim said Thomas Camran and his heirs and assigns forever and the said Thomas Camran doth further covenant and agree to and with the said Benjamin Pickerell his hiers and assigns forever that he the said Thomas Camran will forever warrant and defend the aforesaid third part of said one hundred acres from the claim of himself his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever the same in any manner.
