A. UNDERWOOD George Atwood Underwood, age 77 years, died early Wednesday morning at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown of the effects of a stroke suffered late Tuesday afternoon in the yard at his home on the Howardstown Road near White City. Mr. Underwood, who lived alone, was found lying in the yard at his home about 7 p.m. by one of his son-in-laws, Charlie Price, who had noticed there was no light there as usual. It is believed he had suffered a stroke only a short time before he was found. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Charlie Price, Mrs. James Price and Mrs. Rosie Vernon, all of near Hodgenville, four grandchildren, one great grandchild and two sisters, Mrs. Della Graham, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mrs. Nannie Milton of Louisville. The remains are at Williams, Miller & Sego Funeral Home here. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at Rolling Fork Baptist Church at Gleanings with interment in the church cemetery.".
