The LaRue County Hearld News
Harold M. Locke, 83, of Summersville, died November 7, 2003, at Hardin 
Memorial Hospital.

He was a member of Christian Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Upton, a 
retired farmer, and an Army veteran of World War II, having served in the 82nd 
Airborne. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Mae Nunn Locke; a son, Kenneth 
Locke; his parents, Rice Warren and Rosie Ella Philpott Locke; 3 sisters, Mary 
Gilpin, Susan Huff, and Margaret Wells; and 2 brothers, Larry Locke and George 
Locke.

He is survived by 5 daughters, Prescilla Skaggs and Kathy Hampton, both of 
Summersville, Diana Kersey on Magnolia, Carolyn Riggs of Upton, and Sheila 
Pippin of Munfordville; a son, James Harold Locke of Louisville; 2 brothers, 
Houston Locke of Louisville, and Bro. Emmett Locke of Hodgenville; 25 
grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.  

Funeral services were held November 10 at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home with Bro. 
Nicky Ferguson officiating.  Burial followed in Pikeview Cemetery in Hart 
County.
