Pension Application For The Civil War Service Of Parkes B. Walters
The application is numbered 804.209.  I believe the document says that his 
service was in the Halls Gap Battallion, Gds, Kentucky Infantry, and that he 
was listed as an "invalid.". Signing this document is a "W.Bryant"

Additional Comments:
Parks B. Walters was reported n the Mountain Echoo as having died on May 27, 
1898 in Pittsburg, Laurel County, Kentucky.  (His wife was at the time of his 
death was Claredina "Callie" Sewell,ae daughter of Marcus Sewell and Vina 
Catherine Parr). It is likely that Claredina she was the applicant for this 
pension since Parkes(or Parks) was already deceased from pneumonia as of the 
date of this application.)

In the 1890 Kentucky Veterans Census he was listed as: Name: Parkes B. 
Walters,State: KY,County: Laurel County,Year: 1890,,Page: 074 
Database: KY 1890 Veterans Schedule 

Parks B. Walters was my father's maternal grandfather, via Parks daughter 
Nannette Serena Walters who was born on October 12, 1898 in Pittsburg, a few 
months after her father Parks' death in April.
 

Parks B. Walters was born in Knox County, Kentucky* to William and Anna 
Walters.  He was previously married to Ellen Main in Rockcastle County, KY, 
and married Claredina Sewell on January 1, 1889 in Pittsburg, Laurel County, 
Kentucky.

I do not know the place of burial of my great grandfather Parks B. Walters at 
this time. 

*Parks' birth location was recorded on his marriage license to Claredina, at 
the Laurel County Clerks' Office, Kentucky.
