State of Kentucky Laurel County, Set,
    To any personlegally authorized to celebrate the rites fo Matrimony:
These are to License and permit you to join in the Holy State of Matrimony, 
Mr. James McHargue Jr. and Miss Amanda Jones of the county aforesaid, the 
said  McHargue having entered into bond conditioned as the Law directs. I said 
parties being of full age. 
Given under  my hand, as Clerk of the Court for the County aforesaid, this 
29th day of december 1849.
