October 28th 1851

I Rebecca Nickelson of the County of Laurel and State of Kentucky being
advanced in years knowing that all women must die. In the name of God Amen.
Being of sound mind and memory do make this my Last Will and Testament. I
first commit myself to God who created me. Secondly, I will and bequeath to
my sister Sally McQuary(?) and her two youngest children the above named
Sally McQuarry(?) is to have the place her lifetime then then equally with
the two children Letha Ann McQuery(?) and John (?) McQuery(?) the tract of
land where I now live with all the appertenances there belonging is to be
equally divided between the above named legatees. I also Will and bequeath
to Sally McQuary(?) my Cow(?) and all my house and kitchen furniture except
one bed and furniture I Will and bequeath to Catherine McQuery(?) my big
bedstead and furniture. I also Will and bequeath to Jane Mcquary(?) my
little bedstead and furniture. My waring clothes to be disposed of by the
above named Sally and Catherine McQuery(?) as they see proper. I hold three
notes on Hugh White one for one hundred dollars and the one in fifty
dollars, the other thirty some odd(?) which I desire all my just debts to be
paid out of them and the Ballance to be managed to the best advantage by my
Executor till Catherine McQuery(?) and George Trainger(?) becomes of age and
then equally divided between them. There is one hundred dollars which I was
to have if H. White gained the suit for Back rents and I understand he has
gained the suit ---------- desire the expense of my Administration to
-------- ------ that and the ballance to be equally divided ------ ------
----- above named Sally McQuary(?) and -- -------- ------- ---------

A paper purporting to be the Last Will and Testament Rebecca Nickelson was
this day produced to the Court and fully proved by the Oaths of John Morris
and Russell Weaver as subscribing witnesses thereto and which is
ordered to be recorded as and for the Last Will and Testament of the said
Rebecca Nickelson dec'd.
