Obituary of William Gibson

A TRUBUTE published in the pages of THE HERALD-DISPATCH, Huntington, W.
VA., April 10, 1959:

William Gibson - Seventy-one years old, of Louisa Ky., died Wednesday at
his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. tomorrow at
the Young Funeral Home at Louisa by the Rev. William W. Moore. Burial
will be in the Cox Cemetery.

Mr. Gibson, a retired coal miner, was born February 16, 1888, on Louisa
Route 1, son of the late James and Mary Moore Gibson.

Survivors included the widow, Mrs. Frances Cox; two daughters, Mrs.
Edgel Blackburn of Weeksbury, Ky., and Mrs. Rudolph Preece of Louisa;
three sons, Raymond Gibson of Wheelwright, Charles Gibson of Dayton, OH,
and Claude Gibson of Holden; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Hughes of
Prestonburg and Mrs. Julius York of Louisa, two brothers, John B. Gibson
of Prestonsburg and Mont Gibson of Prestonsburg, and 16 grandchildren.

The body is at the funeral home.
