Obituary of Oak McKenzie Submitted by: Herma1@aol.com 28 June 1992 Big Sandy News McKenzie, Oak Oak McKenzie, 89 of HC 89, Blaine, died Sunday, June 28 (l992) in Humana Hospital-Louisa. Mr. McKenzie was born April 21, 1903 in Flat Gap in Johnson County, a son of Floyd and Daisy Love McKenzie. He was a member of Thomas Creek Freewill Baptist Church for eight years. The funeral will be conducted Wednesday, July 1 (today) at 11 a.m. at Young Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James K. Caudill of Flat Gap officiating. Burial will be in Sparks Cemetery in Blaine. Surviving are his wife, Lydia Burton McKenzie of Blaine, Kentucky; two sons: Albert McKenzie of Ruth, West Virginia; and Jesse McKenzie of St. Albans, West Virginia; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grand children; and several nieces and nephews.
