Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Lowmansville United Baptist Church with the Rev. Glen Arrowood and the Rev. Flem Arrowood officiating. Burial was in the Bevans Cemetery. Mrs. Castle was born May 29, 1892 at Georges Creek, Lawrence County, a daughter of the late Thomas and Julie Lowe Bevans. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elwood Sloan of Urbana, OH, and Mrs. Roy MaGruder of Hawthorne, CA; three sons, Fred Castle of Price, KY, Cecil Castle of Ulysses, KY and Gordon Castle of Columbus, OH; four sisters, Mrs. Tavie Wheeler, Mrs. Brack Edwards and Mrs. Tommy Bevans of Columbus, and Mrs. Rubin Hall of Wharton, WV; a brother, Willie Bevans of Louisa, Route 1, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. The body was taken to the home Monday from the Curtright Funeral Home.
