Mrs. Gilmore was born at route 4, Louisa, December 4, 1886, a daughter of the late Calvin and Minerva Baker Jordan. She had been a member of the Methodist Church for 35 years. Survivors include her husband, John C. Gilmore; two sons, by a previous marriage, James V. and Paul E. Shortridge, both of Cleveland, OH, six brothers, Ernest, Camill, Arthur and Conrad Jordan, all of route 4, Louisa, Herbert of Ashland, and Green of Webbville, KY, five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Baker Chapel, on Little Catt, with the Rev. Clyde Jordan and the Rev. Bruce Cooksey officiating. Burial was made in the Jordan Cemetery at Glenwood. The body was at the Curtright Funeral Home where it remained until 9 a.m. Sunday, then was taken to the church for the service.
