Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Webbville Church by Rev. Archie Holcom. Burial was made in the Webbville cemetery. Born at Webbville on September 25, 1879, a son of the late Herman and Julia Ann Kitchen Hicks, he was a farmer and a member of the Nondenominational Church of Christ. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Nora Edna Hensley Hicks; three sisters, Mrs. Charlie Cotton of Darbyville, OH, Mrs. Wilson Liff of Mount Sterling, OH and Mrs. Earl Perkins of Circleville, OH; three brothers, Sherman Hicks of Darby, OH, Arbie Hicks of Hilliards, OH and George Hicks of Dayton, OH and a foster son, Robert Polley of Morris, IL. The body was at the Curtright Funeral Home and was taken to the church one hour before services.
